Well I no whave a 50 dollar gift certificate for Best buy so I am thinking about buying WoW, but I am so against monthly fees I really don't want to play it.
Okay, I Haven't played WoW. But from what I read before buying GW and from friends that play...
-Grind
-Money per month...sucks...
-Walking (I hate walking)
-Not good graphics compared to GW
-PKing in towns
-Not much thinking --> skillsets are basic, everyone gets same stuff (no 8 skillslot limit = use whatever)
-Pointless things like mining, digging gold, potions...
-Pay to travel on birdies and animals
-Human, Horde, other races
-Spend time leveling character, leveling skill-levels
-Play often or get left behind
-Newbie Pking
-Boring after you get max level
-Have no life after playing --> obsession
-Farming like mad
-Selling gold online on Ebay
-Asian gameshops that Chinese players work 5 cents an hour
This is why I bought Guild Wars
-I can play when I want
-I only pay once every chapter, no financial issues involved for me
-I don't have to stay on for like 12 hours...
-I don't spend hours walking pointless routes
-I don't get killed by players that are 3x my level
-Don't have to worry about playing when final exams
-I odn't have to farm (I don't farm on GW, unless it is for the holiday stuff)
My problem with WoW: it's ugly. Butt-ugly. The graphics are of poorer quality than Morrowind. It's 20th century level graphics in console style, complete wieh the cheery colors. Yuck.

Well you didn't look at any of the positives of WoW and if everyone focused on the negatives like you have the world would seem to be a gaint black hole of bordem and death.
I'm thinking of picking up WoW next week but i'm still wondering about what class i want to be...
I love melee but i don't know if i should go rouge,pally,warrior
Anyways if i do pick it up next week on what server should i come play?

Rather than flame you, as that is beneath my radar these days, I'll simply say, several of the items you mentioned are blatant falsehoods. Ignorance is bliss.

Get on Elune, mine, and I'll put you in my guild, and ill outfit you completely. You can always migrate to another server or leave when and if you choose. We have great people, all ages, and we all get along. Pretty nice group.

*ahem* it's Shadow (I'm fond of picking that up for the XBOX and also a seperate WoW Gamecard)
I have PM'd you Zeroo about the information so don't worry about it.
If anyone wants to know who and where the hell I am in europe, I'll put it here anyway
Alliance
Server: Vashj (RPPvP or Role Playing + Player vs player)
Common Character: Wnxomega
Horde
Server: Moonglade (RP or Role Playing)
Common Character: Darkxelviar
And to quote SOT, Don't flame on WoW if this forum is SPECIFICALLY for GW. SOT has made a rather good post about it earlier on about the pros and cons. If not, I'll post it sometime later to rekindle those posts
Well now I am not sure as to pick up WoW because I'm about to join a good pvp guild in GW and I finally have Steam working so I can get some TFC done. Anyways I do have some previously answered questions to answer.
1. I have friends who play WoW and they are alliance that want me to play and join them. I really would like to join SOT and his guild so can I because of the difference in horde and alliance. And since they are on different servers is that going to make a difference.
Well your opinion. As long as you didn't rant on that "Game B is better" then that is fine.
I managed to gain level 33 and I nearly killed an orc warrior before dying. a clanmate of mine killed it and consoled my er.... corpse until I returned and helped a new friend to a few quests and stuff.
Hopefully I'll hit 34 tomorrow and I'll get one step closer to killing a huge giant! :s

Hey, I'll probably be joining the Moonglade realm. From what I've read elsewhere it seems like the server for me.
Being the helpful chap I am, I wanted to find out which classes & professions were most in demand - does WoW have stats on this?
Well if you check the character information (Race especially) the character will get Racial bonuses. When you level up, you get the Attributes automatically levelled (Unlike D2 where you can, Blizzard addressed the complaint of uber-powerful characters by this) and items require certain things that aren't Attribute Related.
For newcomers, the Warrior, Rogue and Paladin (Palas are Alliance-only) require little effort to use, but the Horde always seem to kick the Alliance's ass in the end... :/ But as I'm Horde in moonglade, guess I can turn the tables sooner or later!
if u like fast dual wielding weapon damage for pvp go rogue, if ur going pve dual wielding do rogue or hunter or warrior. dual wielding for pve with a warrior was heaps faster and more fun than the slow 3.6 second weapons.
but its up to u, if u like constant average attacks do dual wielding, if u like big burst dmg do 2 hand. theres also one hand but ivce never beeen a one hand warrior before.
if u hav any questions on dual wielding warriors ask me, its my ultimate goal to be the best dual wielder on my server and pwn all ppl in pvp who say dual wielding warriors suk in pvp.

AWW!! I LOVE your av atm, G! Those things are so cute!
I'm sitting here waiting on the Blizzard downloader to do its thing. I have a raid plan for tonight, if the blasted patch will finish. We be going to pillage stormwind
A bunch of us on elune are planning to rally together ALL horde players that are online for a massive, random yet coordinated push into alliance lands. We will be using a 6 prong randomization pattern. (thats all im saying on that you spies! LOL)
Yeah though, everytime I am waiting for a patch for wow, the blizzard site refuses to load for me anyway at all except for lowbw, and it runs like shat. The patch is telling me I am behind a software firewall (which is bollocks). It is also taking 90 hours. LOL. I am at 76% now, so the wait is almost over. On to araqjin!
